We tend to prefer the charming and lively ground floor bar of this useful spot to the formal dining room upstairs. Along with Black Sheep Bitter and Adnams Broadside on draught, there's a regularly-changing guest ale, and a classy selection of tap beers (Kirin Ichiban, Tuborg, Staropramen and more). Prince Albert's also notable for its love of cider, from Magners to Addlestone's via various pear and fruit-flavoured varieties. Bar food (£1.50-£6.95) includes a mug of soup with home-baked bread, ploughmen's lunches, and mini chocolate fondants, as well as various gastro-ed snacks. The friendly, caring staff have impressed on our visits, too.
