There are distinct Spanish touches to this once traditional, green-tiled boozer: the Iberian hams hanging behind the bar, the strings of peppers and garlic, and the staff. The menus are equally Hispanic: tapas (around £3.50) include chorizo in cider, and the cheeseboard (£10.50) features tetilla gallega, guadamur and blue cabrales. The 20-strong wine list has a Bajoz Cano tempranillo (£3.75/£15), as well as a standard Muro Blanco (£3/£12); there’s San Miguel (plus John Smith’s and Theakston) on tap, and the sherries (Manzanilla La Gitana, Bodegas Hidalgo) are also authentic. A better reason to strip down a sad old pub you could not imagine.

I'm a pretty, independent, intelligent, fairly witty girl looking to meet the man of her dreams. I work hard, love what I do and am pretty...
