Its dubious attempt at a new name for the City fringes (SOuth of SHOreditch) never quite caught on, but Sosho’s clubby cocktail credentials are still a hit with the Square Mile crowd. Join them for deftly mixed cocktails (pint fans should make an 180° turn at the entrance), booze-soaking bar snacks (fries, onion rings, sharing platters) and a late-night fumble on the downstairs dancefloor. It’s perfect if you want an excuse to get dressed up and party hard, regardless of the looming menace of work the following morning. Service is excellent and very accommodating: the bar is happy to take table/area reservations, even at short notice. A great choice for all kinds of celebrations and to escape from the grungier side of Shoreditch drinking.
