Regulars enjoy the intimacy of the neat, petite bar formerly called 25 Canonbury Lane - the main room is just bigger than the average corner newsagent's - and the fact that the friendly staff can fix a proper cocktail.

The house cocktails include classics such as mojitos and negronis; alternatively, find your spot on the squishy brown sofa or counter barstool and call up something more exotic, such as a Canonbury Gardens (gin, elderflower, lime, apple and cranberry).

Wines number nine of each colour by the glass; alternatives include the more mundane likes of Beck's Vier and Staropramen on tap, or Budvar, Anchor Steam and Little Creatures by the bottle.

The concise list of 'English tapas' includes scotch eggs and Stoke Newington smoked salmon.

As per the previous 2 reviews, my experience was unfortunately not a happy one. Ambience seems a little forced once inside, and good service was clearly reserved for the few regulars (observed to be chatting with all the staff during the evening). For us plebs the services was ok but the drinks were terrible. Also not sure what this bar is touting itself as - intimate venue, cocktail bar, club?? Music is eclectic (and I don't mean that in a good way). Crowd was sparse this time around, but a friend of mine who has been there previously said she was not going back after being surrounded by complete drunks who were apparently regulars at this bar.

Appalingly bad cocktails and very badly organised. My first drink since reopening as the Four Sisters was far too acidic and lacked alcohol and the cosmopolitan I ordered was first made with gin and then when it was finally made with vodka, tasted quite unpleasant - weak and insipid and totally unlike any cosmo' I've ever had before.

A friend ordered a white wine only to be told there was none and then when he ordered a margarita was told there was no tequila. This prompted the barman to send a shady looking character who'd been hanging about to go out and buy some - not exactly inspiring confidence. Won't be going back there..!
