Any bar that features something called a Sticky & Sweet-ini needs to be approached with caution, even if it is named after one of the finest photographers ever to snap London's Swinging Sixties. The tartan couches are a nicely dufferish touch, taking the icicle edge off the trendier-than-thou wood and monochrome Terence Donovan pictures, but the gooey cocktails are a step too far: there's nothing cool or ironic about a pineapple daiquiri that costs £13 and tastes like a boiled sweet. The wine list here is decent, but the bar really wins on spirits: 21 rums, 17 single malt whiskies and various blends, eaux-de-vie, brandies and liqueurs. These are people who care about strong drink - perhaps that's why they think anyone who wants to dilute it with juice is actually asking for a lollipop.
