First, the cocktails. Often brilliant, they involve deft mixes such as Citadelle raspberry vodka with white cranberry and grape juice (Love Letter, £8) and fig liqueur and lemon oil with prosecco (Loungelover, £9). Second, the pricing policy.
An initial 'discretionary' 12.5% service charge is later followed by a Mexican stand-off over the card-swipe as you're invited to negotiate its tricky buttons and either add even more gratuity or stick at 12.5%, all under the anticipative glare of your black-uniformed waiter. To be fair, you will have been shown to your table and served at it; bar space is at a premium.
Food comprises sushi and hot Japanese snacks, while the decor remains a jarring mish-mash of baroque, kitsch and exotic; at any rate, it's perhaps not the 'seamless marriage of old and new' suggested by the management, also responsible for Les Trois Garçons restaurant around the corner.

Booking advisable, Disabled ( toilet ), Dress ( smart casual )It looks like they had been to a car boot sale and bought a load of stuff people were throwing out. The staff were unattentive and unapologetic for being so bad, save for the English waiter who seemed to be the only one paying attention to customers while the rest of the staff were basically statues. The food was average, but it took so long to come out (even the uncooked food) and when complaining about this, the food was in the kitchen on the side, the waitress was just doing nothing about it. On a plus side they have a reasonably big selection of good cocktails, although everything else about the place is such a disappointment that I can only give it one star. I do not recommend.
The decor is OK, drinks are quite nice. the food wasn't amazing and we had to wait for ages for it to be served, our main courses only came after we've complained. The stuff members didn't pay much attention to customers except for one English waiter who was actually nice and helpful.
This bar is amazing, staff is col, superb decor, great cocktails and food too. Although we love to go every time somewhere new i am considering to come back again.
Still the best bar in town. Cocktails are amazing in a wonderful décor and the warm smiley welcome from Stuart is so unusual in London that we would like to come everyday!!!
A refreshing pleasant experience, shared an evening with my girlfriend recently and had some interesting drinks, more refreshing than some other of over mixed drinks found locally at some other bars I need not mention.
Nothing but praise for superb relaxed friendly service. Not often suprised by the a combination of style and arty surroundings with great service.
Particularly enjoyed the long conversation with manager, who went on about where to go and drink in the area and that his bar stayed strong with the balance of all sorts of cocktails and not getting mixed up in the hocus pocus that the bar industry is thriving on. It also seemed there was a lot of food service going on, all manner of exotic dishes and sushi being served. We'll be back to eat guys.
Thanks again
Adam
Nice decor yes.
Staff was cold. Food was very average for the price. Wine List a joke - less than ten bottles to select from and cheapest at £22 (funnily enough not available!). £11 for a martini??!!! You must be joking!
