With separate entrances at either end and a few outdoor tables in Kingly Court, Two Floors feels more spacious than it is. The first floor sees Hoxtonesque bar bohemia, with regular rotations of young artists' work offsetting a dark interior.
The short row of taps - two Red Stripe, two Camden Hells - gives the minimum of choice in draught selection, but Estrella, Brooklyn, Modelo Especial and Goose Island come by the bottle. There are four wines of each colour, with democratic pricing and crowd-pleasing selections: a South African chenin blanc, Chilean cab sauv.
Down in the basement is Handy Joe's Tiki Bar, a kitsch Hawaiian-themed affair complete with bamboo panelling and illuminated tiki masks.

Tables outdoors ( 3, courtyard ), Babies and children admitted ( until 6pm ), Function room ( 80 capacity ), Wireless internetI was downstairs in the “Hawaiian-themed” bar (decorated like a children’s soft play area on a £25 budget) on Friday night. It wasn’t the greatest night, the music was poor and the service was terrible, but it got a lot worse. I saw the barmaid try to pour us some drinks in glasses that had clearly already been used. When I asked her if they were clean, she got ultra defensive and started shouting in front of everyone standing at the bar. It was very embarrassing for everyone not to mention unprofessional. Suffice to say, I didn’t hang around and shan’t be going back to Two Floors or recommending this venue. One to avoid people!
I have previously been a fan of Two Floors, however after this weekend, I would certainly not recommend it.
I booked the downstairs area for an engagement celebration for 30-40 people. When we arrived, Two Floors had only allocated us 3 tiny tables for approx 9 people. And since other people had booked up the other tables, half our party had to relocate upstairs with the remaining half downstairs.
Now, it's not that difficult - if you don't want to give people the space they've requested, then let them know so that they can either take what you offer them or book somewhere else.
