Taking its cue from Kew Gardens, this light, flowery bar-restaurant a short hop south of Kew Bridge offers the illusion that you're drinking beer in a greenhouse.
There's plenty of choice: Sagres, Greene King IPA and Erdinger Weiß, plus Symonds and Aspall Suffolk ciders. Anchor Steam Ale, Estrella and Duvel number among the bottled options.
Cocktails (available by glass or pitcher) include a Botanist of gin, passion fruit and sundry juices; the wine list is equally user-friendly.
Quality bar snacks are typified by the meze platter with Exeter Street Bakery focaccia.
Kids' drawing kits encourage ice-cream pitstops after a trawl through Kew Gardens. The one flaw: brusque-almost-rude bar service on our most recent visit.
