This light, airy, two-floor gastropub - and, on Sundays, neighbourhood film club - is a Fuller's establishment par excellence.
Alongside Pride Honey Dew and seasonals such as Spring Sprinter, the taps offer Leffe, Peroni and Staropramen. A dozen or so wines of each colour gradually ascend the pricing scale until they're nearly at £30 a bottle.
The Stonemasons Arms is one of those venues that could sit in several chapters within this book. We've put it in the beer section, but it's also both a good-looking, easygoing local and a fine gastropub, drawing professionals who sit in the sunken back area around the half-open kitchen and tuck into reliable British cooking as sunlight sweeps over the wooden furniture. The decor is provided by tasteful line drawings, and entertainment comes from Sky Sports.

This is one of my locals and I have been to the Stonemasons quite a few times. In an area that has a lot of excellent gastropubs, this one holds its own and comes up trumps when it comes to value for money. Pleasant atmosphere, never too busy (good if you want to score a table, bad if you are looking for adventure), excellent food, good choice of beers on tap, decent wine list (bit pricey though), really nice staff and film club once a week. 10mn to Hammersmith tube - and open till midnight a few days a week.
Have visited the Stonemasons a few time before and this time was no disappointment. Welcoming, friendly attentative, polite staff providing very good service. The food was fabulous squid and tender lamb to perfection. On top of that great atmosphere!! Best reserve a table or be disappointed.
