The layout of the Windsor Castle hasn't changed since the pub was built in 1835, when presumably people were a little shorter than they are now.
The Campden, Private and Sherry Rooms are filled with wooden pews and booths that offer little room for manoeuvre, but the pub's historic imperfections are all part of its considerable charm. Decorative accents come from framed pictures that can hardly have changed in a century, along with a map of the world that dates from around the same time.
But if this old-world interior isn't to your taste and the weather allows, you can take your drink (Timothy Taylor Landlord, Sambrook's Wandle, five types of draught cider, various wines) and food (sausages, lamb shank) into the surprisingly capacious garden. A characterful place, and hard to dislike.
