Another perfectly good neighbourhood bar converted into a dining pub, The King's Head - known as Grey Goose before its owners changed to Antic in 2011 - reverts happily to its former guise most nights of the week. Crowds at the bar down pints of Moretti, Amstel or Timothy Taylor Landlord or glasses of affordable house wine.
Food runs from mini bangers or lamb koftas through to seafood linguine or wild boar sausages with champ mash, best consumed on the wide front terrace - the bar interior is nondescript, but for an atrium near the back which comes into its own on sunny afternoons.

There was an excellent selection of real ale including Dark Star and Purity. Highly recommended!
Went to the King's Head for the first time and it was a great place to relax and have a couple of pints. Friendly staff and good atmosphere, I didn't try the food so I can't comment there. I would definitely recommend it for a good place to start a night out.
Also the pub chose to lose their quizmaster james, the best thing about the place. He has now moved to park house, up the rd, still on tues at half 8 - come and support
This pub used to be called the Grey Goose, and it was the best spot in Clapham for long Sunday lunches. The roasts were awesome, the rest of the meals on offer were fine too, and all at a very affordable price. Now it's been taken over by a chain and – surprise, surprise – no more proper food, just "cheese and meat platters". Very disappointing. Won't go back again.
sadly the Grey Goose has now changed hands and is newly the Kings Head...
