Stuart Patterson, one of the Faith crew who have been behind all-day house-music parties across London since 1999, has transformed the late and not especially lamented Medicine Bar into this two-floor, 'real house' bar-club that punches several divisions above its weight.
The array of top-notch DJs on the regular roster should delight sophisticated clubbers: depending on the month and the nightly theme, you can expect to see the likes of Chicago house don Derrick Carter, legendary reggae selector Aba Shanti-I and London's own Mr C behind the decks.
Food is fill-me-up club grub, perfect fuel for a night on the dancefloor; the drinks list includes an array of cocktails that claim a New York influence, plus familiar lagers (Stella, Leffe and Staropramen among the taps, Brahma, Kirin and Peroni by the bottle), wines and other niche libations.
