This imposing, dark-fronted building on the corner of Curtain Road and Worship Street does little to advertise itself, but it always manages to bring in punters thanks to the quality of its music programme.
As a bar, it feels industrial, with a heavy stone bar counter from which cocktails are dispensed. You'll be splashing out around £7 for caipirinhas, mojitos or - good grief - apple-strudel martinis.
Beside the notices for wine and food (burgers, salt-beef wraps), DJ decks await action: the programme goes heavy on contemporary trends, albeit with indie-retro twists.
The pool scene is serious enough to warrant a row of cues acting as a room divider before the row of low, squishy sofas by the window. In summer, head up to the roof terrace for a break from the action.
