The first floor of the UK's best organic supermarket is devoted to a mall-style food court. It has the usual pizza, burger and sushi joints - organic, of course - but, since 2010, it's also had a branch of Saf, the Shoreditch raw vegan café-restaurant that was originally in Shoreditch but that closed early in 2012.
This west London outpost has none of the cool of its now closed Shoreditch counterpart, but it makes a nice change from the massed wine bars and ale houses of Kensington. The bar's USP is organic ingredients - even the spirits, which should help get your chakras open while the alcohol's killing off your brain cells.
The short list of cocktails are well made, and staff are friendly. Saf's USP, however, is its raw food. There are also carefully calibrated juice blends and a good cocktail menu.

Babies and children admitted, Booking advisable, Disabled ( toilet ), Wireless internet, Vegan dishes, Vegetarian menuLast night I took a couple of friends to Saf Kensington and was sorely disappointed to discover that it is now an overpriced cafe in a food-court, above Whole Foods. The food was sub-par (especially in comparison to their Curtain street location) and over-priced. In-fact, I ended-up returning my quiche as it was dehydrated to the point of being inedible.
They were out of a number of the dishes that we wanted and the staff appeared to be indifferent to the fact that we were having a HORRIBLE dining experience. To top things off they asked us to leave before we had finished our meal.
In summary, this is NOT the same Saf that it used to be (i.e. Curtain road location) and I STRONGLY would caution against going here. Their business model is now more fast-raw food, and less about a enjoyable night out.
