1 Rejoice, rejoice there’s a new post from Another Nickel In The Machine, this time about bisexual nightclub murderers and the Major from ‘Fawlty Towers’.
2 Boris Watch takes a look at the results of a TfL competition to design new posters to encourage people to visit the suburbs. Surprisingly, nobody came up with one for Sutton.
3 Jason at Onion Bag Blog is compiling an oral social history of Stockwell. This is a fantastic idea. His first interview is with long-time local William, who talks about Marmite, New Covent Garden and Portuguese Stockwell. A fascinating testament to how change affects us all.

As a former Suttonianite, I should be able to find something praiseworthy about my former home borough, but it's a struggle.
The library is outstanding, but this could be of limited appeal.
Oh, and my old local was recently the site of a gruesome machete murder.
Like DG, I make something of a study of obscure bits of London. But I've yet to find a reason to go to Sutton. It remains the only borough I've never been to.
So, Pete, your challenge is to write a blog post in praise of Sutton.
I have a theory, which I'm putting to the test by slowly visiting all of London's 33 boroughs, that Sutton is by far the least tourist-worthy. Winning by a mile so far.
