A tequila festival, a vintage fair and jerk chicken: it's LondOntheInside’s tips for September

Our mates at LondOntheInside have rounded up five things they’re pretty damn excited about this month.

Rudie's, Stoke Newington Road, mid Sep

There are plenty of jerks in east London but if you're after some real Jamaican jerk then Rudie's is your new go-to. Meat is cooked in traditional jerk drums, there's a decent selection of Caribbean rums and snacks include goat dumplings and patties. Rudie's, Jamaican-us crazy, man!

Vintage clothing and record fair, Dalston Pier, Sep 5-6

Vintage store Mint is holding a two-day clothing and record fair. Prices start at just £4 and go up to a whopping £8. Just after payday and with those kinda prices, it'd be rude not to.

Pizza festival, Southwark, Sep 13

London's first pizza festival is coming and we can't wait to grab a slice of the action. Tickets entitle you to one slice of pizza from each of the six vendors taking part, which includes the legendary Pizzeria Salvo all the way from Naples. There's also negronis, Italian wines, and beers. Bellissimo!

Tequila & Mezcal Fest, Spitalfields, Sep 19-20

We're not gonna lie, tequila has made us happy on more than a few occasions and now we're no longer students we're all for learning how to drink it in other ways than with lime and salt. This festival is dedicated to the Mexican spirit and we can guarantee you'll be in the spirit of things by the time you leave. Booze, food and BIG vibes.

MeatLiquor, Islington, end Sep

Good news north Londoners, you can now score a decent burger in Islington from the end of the month when MeatLiquor opens up shop in the old Citroen garage on Upper Street. We'll be joining the queue for the filthy, meaty buns and a cracking selection of sides.
