An artist is painting murals to cheer up Londoners

Big city living ain't easy, but a designer from east London has made it her mission to make us all feel better when the going gets tough. Naomi Edmondson is painting a series of murals around town called 'Survival Techniques' – nuggets of advice she started to jot down for herself whenever life began to take its toil.

Inspired by Camilla Walala's technicolour revamp of the Splice building near Old Street, Naomi decided to share her upbeat messages through large wall paintings last year – and now she hopes the public art can highlight the importance of mental health and brighten up someone's day. Here are her pieces so far:
