Fancy an early Christmas present? Tickets for the third of next year’s British Summer Time concerts in Hyde Park (taking place on July 2) go on sale this Friday, and it’s a mighty triple bill: three artists responsible for three of the biggest and best albums of 2015. Credit cards at the ready – prepare to book for…

Florence + The Machine

It seems like only yesterday that Florence Welch was singing ‘My Boy Builds Coffins’ upstairs at The Old Blue Last. Now she’s gone Top Ten in 21 countries with her stunning third album ‘How Big, How Blue, How Beautiful’, stepped up at the last minute to headline Glastonbury (the first British woman to do so since 1999), and sold out four nights at Alexandra Palace. Next she’s bringing her epic show to Hyde Park next summer as one of BST’s massive headliners. Go Flo!

Kendrick Lamar

The Compton MC’s second album ‘To Pimp A Butterfly’ was a scorching highlight of 2015. Thick with funk and jazz, packed with almost claustrophobically dense ruminations on fame, power and black identity and culture, it was memorably hailed as ‘the Great American Hip Hop Album’. Kendrick just finished touring with a live band across the US, and if the Kunta’s Groove Sessions are anything to go by, Hyde Park is in for a performance of real power next July. See him or regret it.

Jamie XX

Jamie Smith has also had a very good year, selling out Brixton Academy and picking up a Mercury Prize nomination for his solo debut ‘In Colour’. The album’s mellow bangers became the de facto soundtrack to this summer. We’re not sure exactly what to expect at BST, but we know there’s gonna be good times.

British Summer Time tickets go on sale at 10am on Friday December 4.
