Avocados are so over. The hot new brunch dish to Instagram these days is ramen, according to Instagram legend Clerkenwell Boy, that is (he should know, he has 147,000 followers after all). He's teamed up with Bone Daddies to create a limited-edition #BoozyWeekendRamen which will be served at the Old Street branch for the next four weekends.
Starting with the classic Bone Daddies chicken broth, the special soup includes Tokyo wavy noodles, grilled pork belly chashu and Clarence Court eggs. All standard so far. The shocker here is that it's a cheese-based ramen – they've whisked parmesan and egg yolks into the broth and topped it with cheddar! We're not sure how that works/tastes but we trust these guys not to make something gross.
The 'boozy' element comes in the form of a DIY kimchi bloody mary, served in a glass dipped in maple syrup and with a crispy bacon crumb. This will definitely banish any hangovers! The whole thing is £15 and is available for the first 50 customers through the door every Saturday and Sunday from September 24 to October 16.
