London has the worst traffic in the world

London can do no wrong in our eyes, but when it comes to traffic, we’ve clearly got a problem. According to a study by traffic analyst INRIX, London is the worst city for getting caught up in rush hour.

The capital’s road hogs waste 101 hours a year stuck behind the wheel – that's more than drivers in Los Angeles, Washington DC and San Francisco.

Plus, we're getting a bad rep. It's the second year in a row that London's topped the poll, with the A217 earning the title as the most congested road in the UK. At least TfL is investing billions to make our roads a bit roomier and spare us the mind-numbing pain of going nowhere fast. Until then: another round of 'I spy', anyone?

Did you know the ten slowest roads in the UK are all in London

And find out how Londoners will travel in the future
