New winter party series: Clock Strikes 13

Sure, there are loads of great parties and club nights happening over summer, but what about the rest of the year, when the Great(ly underwhelming) British Summer ends and winter sets in? You’ll need something to look forward to.

We’ve got just the thing: Clock Strikes 13 was announced earlier this morning. It's a new series of parties planned for the final three months of 2015, on consecutive Fridays and Saturdays. The project is the brainchild of Ajay Jayaram, one of the crew behind excellent underground clubbing series The Hydra, which has ripped London nightlife a new one in recent years.

CS13 will feature 20 showcases from leftfield – but thoroughly ace – record labels, who’ll  bring out their finest DJs, producers and electronic artists to ignite dancefloors around London’s best clubs. Venues include Corsica Studios, Village Underground, Bloc and Dance Tunnel, and while the artist roster is  under-wraps at the moment, we can tell you that labels involved with CS13 include XL, Ninja Tune, Hyperdub and Houndstooth.

All very exciting for London’s clubbers and just anyone who likes a good dance. And don’t be put-off if you don’t know the record labels – the people in charge of this one know what they’re doing, so put your party trust in them and set those clocks for October 2 when the series kicks off.

We'll be publishing full listings as they appear, but in the meantime you can feast your eyes on this promotional teaser video below.
