The eightieth anniversary festivities for the nation’s favourite board game are happening this September with the sort of romp around town that, thankfully, won’t land you in jail. The 'Monoporun', comes courtesy of the food-loving, run-loving LDN Brunch Club, who are inviting runners of all levels to join them on September 6. They’ll be celebrating their own birthday as they hit up some of Monopoly’s famous property areas for a 10k or 20k run – and to reward all that pavement-pounding, there'll be a toast bar at the NikeLab 1948 store in Shoreditch to greet you at the end.
Entry is £15 for non-LBC members (£10 for members), and that’ll get you a commemorative tee and a few other goodies for simply giving it a go. So if you fancy the satisfaction of flying through Mayfair without paying rent or going bankrupt, go straight to their website before August 28. Do not pass go. Do not collect £200.
