Sipsmith and Gingerline are creating an immersive gin dinner

‘Immersive dining experiences’ may be ten-a-penny these days – but we’re still piqued by what interactive supper supremos Gingerline and gin kings Sipsmith have rustled up for June’s World Gin Day. That being a hush-hush gin dinner event dubbed Juniper Manor, taking place most days from Saturday June 10 until early 2018.

As usual with this kind of thing, details are sparse, and the location secret (it’s ‘somewhere between Highbury & Islington and New Cross’ on the Overground line, which isn’t giving much away). But broadly, it’s set to be a botanical-laced four-course meal featuring Sipsmith-devised gin tipples, with a trough-full of interactive and, there’s that word again, immersive bits and pieces. ‘Time and taste intermingle, and fact and fiction fuse with fuzzy-minded intrigue,’ explain the organisers, rather, err, fuzzily.

That might sound like flowery nonsense, but given the pedigree – Gingerline were the folks behind 2015’s excellent Chamber of Flavours – there’s every reason to feel giddy with anticipation. Chuck in a monochrome dress code and a dedicated cocktail bar and you’re all set for a delightfully woozy night.

Make your way to the Juniper Manor site for tickets, but be quick! They’re available now.
