The BT Tower has been an iconic spike on London's skyline since 1965, reaching high into the clouds with its point hitting a whopping 189 metres. Between 1966 and 1980, the lofty structure housed a spectacular revolving restaurant and to celebrate the tower's fiftieth birthday, it's reopening to serve lunch and dinner to 1,400 lucky diners for two weeks only.
A ballot system has been put in place as demand for the dining experience looks set to reach dizzying heights, allowing entrants to choose from a four-course lunch (£49.95) or seven-course dinner (£67.95), both served with champagne on the thirty-fourth floor. Those who don't emerge victorious in the first round will be given a second chance to experience the glorious views during a ballot in autumn, where a further 2,500 people will be chosen to soar into the sky with free drinks and snacks waiting for them in the restaurant.
The first ballot has just opened and will close at 9am on June 29, and the second from 9am on June 30 until 9am on July 7. Winners will be able to bring up to three guests and must be 18 or over to enter. Good luck!
