Win tickets to Raleigh Ritchie’s film night

One way or another, you’ve probably come across Jacob Anderson. If you’re a music fan there’s a decent chance you’ve heard his silky vocal tones crooning smart R&B tunes as Raleigh Ritchie. But you’re more likely to have come across him leading an invincible slave army across the desert wastes of Essos in the service of Daenerys Targaryen, Khaleesi of the Great Grass Sea, Breaker of Chains and Mother of Dragons.

That’s because Anderson alternates his music career with an on-screen role in ‘Game of Thrones’ as a near-mute eunuch slave general – which is more than you can say for Sam Smith. Young Jacob is an avid cinephile, hence his stage name: Raleigh and Richie (without a ‘t’) are two of the characters from Wes Anderson’s ‘The Royal Tenenbaums’.

He’s big on the art of the music video too. For his new single ‘Bloodsport’, Ra-Ri worked with creative trio Shynola – who’ve made videos for Radiohead, Coldplay and Hot Chip – on a two-part video ‘saga’. You can get an exclusive first look at the whole thing this Thursday at the Prince Charles Cinema. As well as ‘Bloodsport’ Parts One and Two, the event includes a screening of one of Anderson’s – that’s Jacob, not Wes – favourite films: ‘Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind’, the  trippy drama about memory by Charlie Kaufman and Michel Gondry.

To top off the evening you can hear Raleigh and Shynola discuss ‘Bloodsport’, ‘Eternal Sunshine’ and more in a four-way Q&A session. Let’s just hope that Grey Worm is a bit chattier off-screen.

Win tickets to ‘Raleigh Ritchie Presents’.
