For the sixth year, the festival offers a month of creative events designed to inspire an interest in and love of the written and spoken word. Highlights this year include comedians and broadcasters Mark Steel and Arthur Smith in an evening entitled Comic Writing for the Mid-life Crisis, South African novelists Gillian Slovo discussing her most recent novel, 'Black Orchid', Brendan McCarthy, one of Britain's most talented comic book creators and designers discussing his work and Helen Oyeyemi discussing her latest book, 'White is for Witching'.
