A fundraising evening of music and words. Three pieces of music - 'Thoughts Scribbled on a Blank Wall' by Adam Gorb with lyrics by John McCarthy, 'No Answer' by Timothy Jackson (lyrics by Chris Abani) and Michael Tippett's 'Five Spirituals' from Child of Our Time - will be interspersed with readings from the work of persecuted Burmese writers, including English PEN Honorary Members Aung San Suu Kyi and Zargana -read by special guests including Jo Brand, Clarissa Dickson Wright and Ruth Padel. Organised by JAM (John Armitage Memorial) and English PEN.
