Time Out says

It's time for the capital's annual London Literature Festival to re-root in the grounds of the Southbank Centre, inviting a whole host of great writers, thinkers and artists for your literary delight.

Over a fortnight, the likes of prolific British author and filmmaker Iain Sinclair, Booker Prize-winning novelist Alan Hollinghurst, collaborative art duo Gilbert and George and Scottish writers Liz Lochhead and Alexander McCall Smith make an appearance, plus many more.

To kick of proceedings, the renowned Norwich-born writer Philip Pullman will be reading from his extensive works – including his latest novel 'The Good Man Jesus and Scoundrel Christ' – at the Southbank Centre's Queen Elizabeth Hall. If you only make it to a handful of events, this is one festival you'll be glad to get a piece of.
