Before all you 13-year-olds get too excited, this new ‘joint’ from Eminem isn’t a proper album per se, but rather an officially sanctioned mixtape, the preferred medium of dissemination for Stateside rappers. As a result, it’s the usual grab-bag of new songs, freestyles, studio offcuts and lots of guest appearances, sadly from the insalubrious likes of Kuniva and Stat Quo. It has its moments (‘No Apologies’ is worth downloading), but for the most part it sounds badly dated, a cardinal sin for mixtapes.
