Ruining this week outright? The jaw-slackening news that the historic London Hippodrome is going to be converted into a casino, complete with Gordon Ramsey restaurant.
Set voice to Victor Meldrew level: I don't belieeeeve it.

The Hippodrome is an amazing venue with an extraordinary and colourful history. The likes of Judy Garland and Shirley Bassey have performed there. Harry Houdini has done escapes in here.
The venue is currently home once again to a variety performance show called La Clique - which turns the main floor into a circus arena for a funny, daring, sexy and intimate show.
The show is getting excellent reviews and really is something quite different from the tame west end fare.
Without wishing to sound sentimental, the Hippodrome does not deserve such an ignominous end as a casino.
How do we protest at the destruction of this 103 year old entertainment institution? How do we stop this happening?
