Where do you find the edgiest of edgy performance artists in London? This annual live art and performance showcase is the capital's one-stop shop for all things alternative, extreme and often surreal, encompassing more than 100 artists across two stages and ten live areas in one venue, as well as 40 live shows and 60 films. This theme of Act Art 7 is 'Children Of The Damned' and addresses difference: what is it that makes us different? What does being 'normal' or 'different' really mean? Does the way a person look or act define them as different? Timberlina, queen of Vauxhall, has hosted every Act Art and this year hosts The Theatre Of Hate, while Ryan Styles presides over Styles's School For Scandal. Across these two areas will be: queen dance collective Paniclab; Maggie & Martin; tranny superstar Jonny Woo; the revolutionary Scottee; tranny with a fanny Holestar; riot T-grrrl punk outfit Ladynoise; Sigue Sigue Sputnik and bloodletting live artist Jon John Napoleon; DJs Jodie Harsh, Mark Moore, Ben Jamin and Scottee, and so much more. Look out too for a host of short films, including spins on Nazi sex dolls ('The Borghilde Project'), 'The Shining' gone war-on-terror ('Sbara') and what happened when Salvador met Sigmund ('The Death of Salvador DalÌ').
