Aspiring performer in need of a big audience? You could win the chance to perform your cabaret act at Field Day 2010! All you need to do is impress our discerning critic…
Time Out is teaming up with Field Day, just like we did last year, to track down cabaret newcomers to strut their stuff as part of 'Do You Come Here Often', the music hall revival stage that forms part of the festival at Victoria Park on Saturday July 31.
Music, live art, circus acts, burlesque, drag, magic – whatever your chosen form, if you think you've got what it takes, send pictures or ideally YouTube links of your act, along with a brief paragraph or two about who you are and what you do on stage, to fielddaycabaret@timeout.com by NOON ON MONDAY JULY 19.
Don't forget to include contact details. Time Out Cabaret Editor Ben Walters will select four contenders to perform at the festival. Festival tickets and a contribution to expenses will be included. Unfortunately conditions do not allow for work requiring film or projection. Winners will be informed by Wednesday July 21.
