Banish thoughts of Marcel Marceau knock-offs trapped in invisible boxes: this festival dating back to 1977 offers wordless work from around the world involving everything from puppetry and animation to circus skills and new technology, including many UK premieres. Theatre clown Bowart here presents a fantastical tale sprouting from a discarded toy in which physical comedy, illusion, puppetry and film join storks, flowers and shoes in a peculiar journey.
