A Man to Pet

The future of drag

The most spectacular hot mess to hit the east London scene in years, Greek-born diva A Man to Pet caught our eye as the gracious, slightly incomprehensible hostess of Dalston pop-up restaurant The Pale Blue Door.

What do you do? 'I do hot boys and girls! It is very difficult to describe... Why you don't come to see me what I do?'

What's been the most surprising response you've had from the audience? 'The audience went fucking crazy while I was performing 'Zorba the Greek' a couple of years back. Plates flying in the air and everyone was shouting!'

"Holly Penfield is more than one fine diva -- she's a whole host of them, and they all look wonderful and sound sensational." - Sir Tim Rice

Really?!!! Where is HOLLY PENFIELD????!!! "Singer is too weak a word. This Holly does not go lightly. She is a one woman explosion. Her 45 minute set is a passionate flirtation with the audience and never overdone. I wish other singers could hear this bombshell, they could learn how to make better use of their time. I picked up a few tips myself." - The late, great Larry Adler
