Mining the coalface of edgy, alternative performance, Lisa Lee's hugely important showcase of works-in progress allows established performers and up-and-coming talent to present new ideas, whether they be drag queens, musicians, trad cabaret singers or surreal performance artists. Often raw, always fascinating, UnderConstruction ran for five years at Bistrotheque's defunct performance space; now it's at the RVT.
