    Getting there
Get out at Sloane Square tube and either walk down the entire street via Duke of York Square (always worth a quiet gander) or take 11, 22, 49, 211 or 319 bus, alighting at World’s End (Chelsea Green) for the best shops.

    Refuel
King’s Road isn’t short of swish places to eat but one of our favourites is newish Belgian chain Le Pain Quotidien (201-203A Kings Rd, SW3/020 7486 6154) where we’ve snacked on moist slices of cake and great cappuccinos.
