Spruced up in preparation for a fortieth- anniversary DVD release, Lionel Jeffries’s 1970 adaptation of Edith Nesbit’s homely children’s novel still basks in a warm, rosy glow of universal nicety. Set in the early 1900s, the story – about three we...

So here it is, the triumphant finale to ‘The Hunger Games’ franchise, and time for plucky heroine Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence) to march proudly into the Capitol, aim her trusty arrow and loose it straight into the heart of that dastardly v...

If you grew up in the ’80s you’ll remember reruns of ‘Dad’s Army’ during that soul-sapping stretch of Sunday evening telly somewhere between ‘Songs of Praise’ and ‘Last of the Summer Wine’. Now – why oh why? – someone has decided that what we real...

A sugar-crazed animated monster comedy targeted at kids, the sequel to 2012’s ‘Hotel Transylvania’ isn’t going to get anyone scared. Instead, the filmmakers pay so much attention to crafting a relentless string of in-jokes meant for horror fans th...

In his seventy-third year, Robert De Niro is clearly relishing the fact that he’s got nothing left to prove. Why else put himself through shameless trash like this? He plays Dick, a just-widowed, super-horny pensioner with Special Forces training ...

Great cinema - a variety of large screens & good service. The ushers are always friendly and helpful. The cinema show a better range of films (from large blockbusters to family films to smaller independants) to most large chains - though a few more foreign films wouldn't go a miss! Would recommend Cineworld Enfield to any film fan.
