Richard Strauss's dark and bloody tale based on the Greek myth about a daughter who plans the death of her mother for plotting her father's murder. The dramatic soprano Susan Bullock sings the title role, with Johan Reuter (Orest) and Jane Henschel (Klytemnestra). Mark Elder conducts; the director is Charles Edwards.
