The tenor Rolando Villazón stars in Offenbach's tale of a romantic poet in whose imagination the women he loves are repeatedly stolen from him by a succession of villains. With Gidon Saks (Lindorf), Ekaterina Lekhina (Olympia), Christine Rice (Giuletta) and Katie van Kooten (Antonia). The conductor is Antonio Pappano; original direction by John Schlesinger.
