Henry Purcell's joyous response to 'A Midsummer Night's Dream' incorporates much of Shakespeare's text into a fascinating carnival of music, theatre and dance. Starring Malin Christenssohn, Lucy Crowe, Claire Debono, Robert Murray, Ed Lyon and Robert Burt. With Baroque specialists William Christie and Laurence Cummings taking turns conducting the period instruments of the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment. The director is Jonathan Kent.
