The joint London New Wind Festival and Women in Music UK begins at 5.25pm with an WiM AGM followed by a panel discussion on 'Getting your Music Performed' at 6.30pm.Then, at 7.30pm The pianist Sally Mays plays Margaret Sutherland's 'Voices 2'; Helen Gifford's Three Miniatures; Amanda Handel's 'Zardash'; and Avril Anderson's'Lines in the Sand'. Then, at 8pm, flautist Nancy Ruffer presents Hilary Tann's 'Windover'; Julia Usher's 'Aquarelles'; and Enid Luff's 'Meister Eckhart's Flute'. Followed at 8.30pm by clarinettist Enid Blount performing Anne-Marie Turcotte's 'Preludio Sopra una Scala Enigmatica'; 'Tre Variazioni Poliforniche e Tema'; Chen Yi's 'Monalogue: Impressions on the true story of Ah Q'; Emanuela Ballio's 'Narciso'; and Julia Harting's 'Coagula'. Concluding at 9pm with a concert of world premieres: London New Wind Ensemble plays Adriana Isobel's 'Figueroa Fantasy' for trombone and piano; Christina Green's 'Thread'; Litha Efthmiou's'Happy 26th for Kenan'; Marjorie Maxine Rusche's 'Bluesy Cantabile from Nightwatch' for solo piano; Jenny Chartres's 'Running Late' for horn, tenor, trombone and bassoon; Effy Efthmiou's 'Phrenitikos'; Rebecca Oswald's 'The Dimming of the Day' for solo horn; Caitlin Rowley's 'Pieces of 8'; Magaly Ruiz's 'Pequena Pieza' for trombone and piano; and Jane Serter's 'Pile up the Agony' for solo oboe.
