The UK premiere of a new opera by Judith Weir. Film and opera director Shi-Zhen Chen makes his first appearance with The Royal Opera for this adaptation of a Sicilian tale of a young girl and the twists of fate that shape her rags-and-riches life. Starring soprano Emma Bell in the title role, with Andrew Watts and Noah Stewart. The conductor is Paul Daniel.
