One of London's biggest and busiest gay saunas is decked out like a kitsch Roman bath – and there's plenty of Roman-style debauchery. Search for a gladiator in the indoor pool (no bathing suit required) or in the steam room, sauna, two jacuzzis or cinema room, and tame him in a private cabin (which feel like a doctor's examination table; some people might like that). Chariots feels a bit like a leisure centre, only with sex. If you don't indulge, recline by the pool and watch the bathing beauties. There are also Chariots outposts in Farringdon, Streatham, Vauxhall and Waterloo.

Its the most expensive and the most unsociable sauna in london, its over rated. I went there three days ago never again. The staff are too up themselves and the facilities have changed but not for the better. Give it a skip.
I was put off going to this sauna for some time by some of the negative reviews. I decided to see for myself yesterday. Some users have mentioned rude and unhelpful staff. My experience was very positive. The chaps on reception were polite and helpful, very much so when I mentioned it was my first visit. On another review site more than one user used the word "filthy". The management have obviously taken steps to remedy this. Cleaning staff were quite in evidence. Although I wouldn't say it was spotless everywhere, the pool, steam rooms (Two of them. One hot, one less hot.), sauna cabins (Again two. One hot, the other less hot.), and Jacuzzis (Two of.) were all acceptably clean. Some of the cabins were in need of a wipe, but the cleaning team can't be everywhere all the time. If I have to be critical, the shower heads all need replacing, condoms and lube could be available at different places, some of the clientele could be a good bit less up their own backsides (but this is London) If you've not been there before, give it a go, you probably won't be dissappointed. But is it worth £19 entry fee? The jury is still out on that one. My favourite sauna? One in Brighton. Small, clean, friendly, and for £5 entry on Monday and Tuesday join their VIP text service.
Very disappointing, Hate the new "tiled" room, just awful, cold and unfriendly, where are the horny gloryholes? Never go here, waste of money and only ugly and old guys, obviously rich as it's so expensive to get in now...
Never ever going back! Besides all the other negative comments on the outrageous cost and pathetic refit, and dwindling clientele, the staff were very unfriendly and outright rude and unprofessional last night. On the way out, the guy at the desk continued to challenge my friend about not having put his locker key in their little tray despite the fact that he had. It ended in a shouting match with the bitch swearing at us, telling us to get out and not come back, and refusing to give his name so we could report him to whatever management might still exist at Chariots. How pathetic all the way around. Forget this place.
Really disappointed, firs time I have been there for a long time and frankly its rubbish. The video room has gone replaced by an odd expanse of tile. No glory holes, nothing. Paid £19 and only stayed for 30 minutes. I'll never go again. a Avoid!
I agree it's sad, no atmosphere no video room it's booring and the cost is fat to much. The sauna bar is far the best place to go to now.
Used to be so good, but now expesive, video room closed ,glory holes blocked off. A bit cold, and not surprisingly not many people there.Whats going on with the place ?
I went there with a friend on Thursday 27th December 2012 around 8pm and it was dreadful. The place was virtually empty. The guy on the door charged us £19 and didn't even give us a receipt. I've been going there on and off for 15 years and the place has never been refurbished. As a chain, they could at least offer a one-day pass for all the Chariots saunas in London. But they don't. Chariots are the typical example of capitalistic greed: profit over service. They should be boycotted.
More staff than patrons. Has been run down for months now. agree with comment below. Video room closed for months. I think they have issues, black mould on the ceiling.vGoing to avoid for health reasons
The worst sauna in the UK. It was boring, dirty, full of old men over 55-60yo, kitch decor, cold atmosphere and the video room was not working (i found out that this has been out of service for many months now).. I stayed for 1 hour and left. What makes me really angry was that I had to pay £14 pounds (concession as a student). I never tend to think about money when I visit such places, I wouldnt mind paying that if they deserved it, but THEY DONT! Would not return even if they were giving me a free entry..
