Free fridays was terrible last night (13/11/09: Friday the 13th; any coincidence?). Firstly, it wasn't free, we were charged £5 to get in. Secondly, drinks prices have gone through the roof (£8 house doubles with mixer, no deals whatsoever). Thirdly, the music was akin to that played at a student union. They played Usher, for god's sake - Usher! It seems there has been a change of management (and half the bar staff are new too). Basically if you liked free fridays before, you won't like it now. If you like good music, you won't like it. And if you like getting value for money, you won't like it. If you like Yates' Wine Lodge, however, then this is the place for you. Pour on the hair gel, don your best Le Coq Sportif clobber and come on down!
