  • Don’t tear through your wardrobe in a panic at the thought of this criminally creative night’s sense of style. We’ve got your iHEARTNiYi checklist sorted: DIY Tesco Club Card necklace? Tick. Mum’s metallic tie-dye cycling shorts? Tick. Dame Edna Everage spectacle cast-offs? Tick. Reebok moon boot trainers, scrunchies and stacks of neon shimmer? Tick, tick, tick! You may even wish you were colour blind.

Yes, Super Super, the kaleidoscopic nu-rave magazine – which is MC Hammer’s answer to Grazia (if MC Hammer had an obsession with Photoshoping smiley faces on everything), or Vogue if an ADD toddler was to scribble all over it – has started a new, ultra-fash, ultra-polychromatic weekly at Soho’s paparazzi hotspot.

It’s another Shoreditch-style ‘anything goes’ night brought to the confines of celebrityville but, unlike many other West End high art/high electro nights before it (like Scottee’s Domestic), Super Super works its turbo-gloss sass as if it were gospel. They’ve run fashion-week parties and hosted nights at EGG, but this is the official place to bust out the fluoro. The club’s electro, booty-based pop, indie, dubstep, grime soundtrack, which is randomly selected by superstar DJ (well, in Super Super land) NiYi and residents Dean ‘Str8 Necklin Crew’ Tynan and One Time, is enough to give Chris from ‘Skins’ a stiffy. Plus there are surprise guest DJs, from tapedeck to MIA’s chum Afrikan Boy and irregular themes to really make the trendonistas work. It may not be the life-affirming ‘Wizard of Oz’-style night that Super Super imagines, but let’s face it, where else can you get away with a Bacofoil poncho on a Tuesday night?

Have your say
