    Bugged Out’s Christmas banger
‘As One’ presents: Bugged Out! ‘The Party of the Year’
It’s been a busy year, as ever, for the Bugged Out massive. Now, they’re getting festive with another Xmas cracker (sorry!). DJs Miss Kittin (fingers crossed she keeps to spinning, not singing), JoJo De Freq, Brendan Long and Antony Hill line up for the main room with firing electro and tech-house all wrapped and served with a bow. In the Lounge it's the young guns Ben Trucker, the hotly-tipped Skull Juice, Dekker and Slippery People with a mixed bag of mash-up indie rock and electro. Up on top it's Bump featuring house music all night long from Craig Torrance, Miss Jools and Ed Karney. Phew!

    Rockabilly around the Christmas tree
    Hillbilly Hop
It’s been all about the rockabilly this year with the vintage genre a hit with hipsters. Don your best ginghams, practice your hoe-downs and head to Islington guitar hangout, the Buffalo Bar. Billed as a night of ‘wholesome hillbilly’ the line-up sparkles with hootenanny delights. Dosey-doh’ing the night away on stage are Ruby Ann on the pipes, Eddie Clendenning plucking away on guitar and the Bonneville Barons shaking it with their trusty rattlesnake. Once the show is over DJ Little Carl will keep the crowd cooking with a big slice of red-hot rockabilly.

    A fond farewell
    DDD: The Final Curtain

It’s starting to look like knocking down the Kings Cross venues was a collective marketing strategy dreamed up by the capital’s key promoters. Every Saturday there’s yet another chance to bid a teary-eyed, lock-jawed adieu to one of these now-legendary clubs. This week it’s the turn of Triple-D who have racked up a mighty five years and 37 parties on the Key’s flashing dancefloor. Leading the send-off are Pokerflat's Jeff Samuel, Burnski (Back2Basics) and Boogie Drama (MoodMusic) who join Simon Baker (Playhouse, Infant) spinning super-fine techno, minimal and clicky sounds. In the Last Chance Saloon James Priestley (Secretsundaze), Tomoki Tamura (Geisha Disco Boyz), DDD's Simon Morrell & Ryan Shaw and Phonica's Dan Foat share the decks and add deep underground house, twisted beats and DDD classics to this farewell mix.

    Alternative Acid Christmas
Bang Face 50 – The Golden Anniversary & Xmas Party
These parties are famous not only for their unusual sounding guests, diverse music policy (anything from neo rave, hardcore, acid jungle, breakcore to abstract dance) but also for their dressing up themes. Tonight's double whammy golden celebration means, unsurprisingly, you have to wear gold. All fancy dress must be suitably deranged and built to withstand hardcore hands-in-air-style raving since the line-up includes the likes of The Ratpack, Bong-Ra, Ceephax Acid Crew and Pisstank. Think Santa’s grotto with a psychedelic twist.
    Don't forget: gold. Yep, gold.

It’s been a good year for the Go!Zilla crew, so expect some serious celebrations with sonic warblers The Oscillation performing tracks from their new album ‘Out of Phase’. Retro synth-punk sensations Mama Shamone will play a live set and the Eeek ladies continue to build their east end empire with another of their mash-up sets. Further festive treats include the appearance of a certain Mr Priestley and a special Christmas guest. Shhhhh!
