Time Out says

If you've been to even one Carnival before, and perhaps even if you haven't, you'll know that Jamaican culture runs deep through its veins. In celebration of this, rum manufacturer Wray & Nephew have teamed up with UK sound system Reggae Roast to host a Carnival warm-up, featuring sounds, sights and tastes of Jamaica spread out over two separate day and night events. On the music side, Shy FX will be playing an exclusive reggae set with Stamina MC, and Channel One Soundsystem will be blasting out dub and roots. Reggae Roast will take the crowd on a trip through Jamaican musical history, from dancehall to dub to mento (traditional jamaican folk music), with further deep sounds from Vibration Lab, Adam Prescott and Ramon Judah. You can also watch some live art created over the day and feast on authentic Jamaican grub. The day session goes from 2-9pm and the evening festivities kick off at 9pm, rolling through until 4.30am.
