I am a member at LIBRARY and while it is still incomplete, I have always been aware that it is being built in stages. I am also a member at a few other clubs and I have to say that the service and communication I get from LIBRARY is by far the best. I do not normally write reviews but as I was googling LIBRARY for some pictures, I came across the review below which I thought was really unfair and needed a response. It seems the person that wrote it is not a member and specifically went digging to try and find fault. While I can not comment on everything as I don't have the information, I can tell you of my experience. I go there often for my quiet time from the office, to read and work, its ideal for that and I have never found it to be loud during the day. Yes, there is a boardroom you can hire, but who gives out a free meeting room? None of the other clubs I know of do that. The events I've attended have been really good but most of all I love the decor, service and the drinks menu. I am yet to find a place that offers better in London.

The space is half finished and many facilities such as gym or restaurant are not available yet (but the full membership fee is charged regardless to those who want to join). The club is rather small and it is not suitable for business use. There is only one small conference room which can be rented for an extra £150/hour fee. For those who want to work there, the place is probably too loud since the music is on all the time. Library club is really a bar with no real benefits for the members. To use the conference room, you still need to pay. The gym will have no facilities/equipment such as treadmill but will only run "classes". The restaurant will be open to non-members. The only benefit you really get is 20% off the hotel room. For an annual fee of £1,100 this is definitely not worth it. Many people seem to think so too since I spent three hours there on Saturday afternoon and there was not a single guest in sight (despite the alleged 700 members so far).

For those who want to join, the advertised "selection process by the committee" is conveniently bypassed and all you have to do is to offer your credit card to a receptionist and you will be accepted straight away. Be mindful of the contract though since it claims that "management may revoke and refuse membership including entrance to the club for any reason whatsoever without refund". Perhaps there is more information on their website which is unfortunately not working yet even though when joining you are asked to sign a contract stating "I confirm that I have read the full membership terms and conditions displayed on the website".
