  • Masters At Work’s Kenny Dope and DJ Keb Darge (Deep Funk) set up Kay Dee (geddit?) to rerelease, remix and produce classic and contemporary funky tunes. The avid collectors have turned up real seven-inch treats and the proof is all here with 15 funky songs and instrumentals from the sophisticated soul of Harris & Orr’s ‘Spread Love’ to a great version of ‘Tighten Up’ by Aussie band The Bamboos, including one track that reverses the classic-tune-sampled-in-upfront house hit routine by being a freshly recorded fabulously funky version of MAW’s famous ‘Nervous Track’ by The New Mastersounds.
