5. John Talabot
Chosen by James Holden, DJ, Border Community: 'So far, John Talabot has been pretty secretive about his identity, but I've known him for years and can exclusively reveal that he's one of the nicest people I've ever met. I find his honest and diverse love of music inspirational and it makes his modern, DIY label, Hivern Discs, and his DJ sets special and unique. His records are similarly gorgeous: I'm quite sure that his forthcoming LP for permanent vacation is going to earn a place in people's hearts.' John Talabot's debut album 'ƒin' is out on Feb 6 2012 (Permanent Vacation). www.myspace.com/johntalabot
